See here’s the deal i play rugby but every body i play with is a lot bigger and stronger than me so WITHOUT building too much muscle mass i want to build quiet a lot of strength.
But if i have to build on size i will do so.
Also some work out tips to build strength would be great

While protein is important for an athlete (and everyone else), too much of it can give you the opposite of what you want.
So protein shakes are not needed.

Just get a good diet (60% carbs, not protein.), with lots of fiber, vegetables, and fruit. Make sure that your meat intake doesn’t exceed your needs (which is about the size a deck of cards per meal). And workout more. Nothing can replace that.

Athletes who consume too much protein have lower energy levels; they feel tired lot. On the other hand, if you eat a good diet, you’ll have MORE energy to work out.

I’m not saying that protein shakes are forbidden. I’m just warning you that you definitely don’t want to depend on them. Now, a protein shake or bar here and there could be great, don’t get me wrong. It’s all about the amount. :)
