I’m a little guy. Pretty short for my age and skinny – very skinny. I’m looking to build a little bit of muscle in my arms and chest to both gain some weight and look less scrawny. I’m not a gym kind of guy and mainly want to stick to push ups, sit ups and other things I can do at home. Any suggestions?

I would recommend doing slow repetitions. If you have barbells at home, don’t do too many reps, rather, do more sets of fewer reps using larger/heavier weights. This usually builds muscle so that it doesn’t stay toned, but leaning more towards the “brolic” look :D You should also look into buying protein shakes or buying the powder to make it yourself. Always have rest between “workout days”, so that your muscles can grow.

well im working out i feel sore but i want to do more im not tired yet what happens if i rip the to much si the good? or not? im trying tou bild my muscle. ps if u are just a lil sore the next day and good enough to walk and do daily stuff should u work out to build up tolerance for your muscles or not?

You work out lifting 90% of max weight for 3 sets of 3-8.
After doing this your will be fatigued and you stop doing that exercise, the next day you will feel really sore, if done correctly, and should not work out on that muscle for the rest of the week, giving 6+ days recovery time to build muscle, overworking muscles will build endurance but reduce muscle size. So how much you work the muscles depends on you.

Also, ripping already ripped muscles (say from a workout the day before) dramatically increases the risk of injury, so its advised not to do that.

I am an exceptionally good long distance runner, but I do not have and muscles such as abs or bicep muscles. I don’t have access to a gym as well. Can I build muscles by running and doing crunches and push ups alone? If so, then can you provide me with a work schedule.

You don’t build muscles when running. Sure you develop some but you don’t build them that way. Crunches will do a little bit but not much. You need to be able to go to a gym or get a home gym. Wishing and hoping doesn’t get your muscles.

Muscle confusion works really well, but mostly. You only wanna work out once s day, big cut muscles happen over time, but e erytime you work you wanna up the reps not the weight. For instance I’ll bench 150 15 times, and than I’ll south more reps for that week. Then next week I’ll do 160 hecka, it’s always better to do more reps then weight. U can get hella cut pecks on bench If you put on 5 5′s on each side, bench it 5 times, then have people pull off a five from each side every ten reps,.by the time u get to the bar you can barely do 5 reps, but do 10, range of motion. Is the best muscle tho. Good lucky man, hope I helped
